Marge Simpson has a Shoe?

Dunk High Pro SB with Zoom Air (Picture courtesy for GOAT)

I definitely got Marge Simpson vibes from looking at this shoe. The base color of this SB Dunk is yellow to reflect Marge’s skin tone. The blue is designed to represent her iconic hair color. The green accents are a representation of her green dress and last but not least the sole of the representative is the pearls and matching shoes. I am a fan of bright colors and I think this shoe hits the mark! I also think dunks were the perfect representation. I actually tried to imagine this colorway in another silhouette: a ’77 Blazer, Air Force 1, or maybe an Air Max 90 but I think the Dunk was the perfect silhouette. I would love to see the colorway in a dunk low.

I wonder if Marge was a sneaker-head would she wear this shoe. I think she would approve. Although she may have to change up her style slightly (yellow-based shoe on yellow skin, probably not the best idea). I would style this shoe with green legging to match the swoosh and a white v-neck shirt. This way the shoes will be the star of the show. You can also wear denim jeans with a white t-shirt and a green (matching the swoosh) blazer.

The official name of the shoe is Nike Dunk High Pro SB ‘Marge Simpson’. The SKU number is 305050-731. Overall Materials: Suede and Leather. The original drop date was Jan 1, 2008, for $75 USD. If you are planning to purchase these shoes, the current resell price is somewhere between (drum roll) $450 – $2,500 (Ouch). This was made as a men’s shoe, if you are a female looking for this shoe look for a 1 1/2 size smaller (ex. a woman size 8 is a Men’s size 6.5).
